Crochet Wrap Bracelet

Crochet Wrap Bracelet from Fiddle Knits

Click the blue underlined links for the tutorial

I'm using this pattern to make a wrap bracelet, but eventually I'm going to try making mine with wire.

You can see my first efforts (using yarn and pony beads) here and I'll post updates as I progress to trying wire.

Update:  I finally made the wrap bracelet with wire. You can see my finished product here

Wire Crochet Necklace

Auntie Beads Wire Crochet Necklace Wire Crochet Necklace video tutorial from Auntie's Beads

Click on the blue link above for the video and the materials list

I wouldn't say that I've mastered it, but I have crocheted with 30 gauge wire, but I may have used a hook that was too small. I want to try wire crochet again using a larger hook.

Duct Tape Feather Earrings

Duct Tape Feather Earrings from Crafts 2000 Facebook Page

"Duck Tape Feather Earrings! To make these earrings, fold strips of Duck tape in half (sticky sides together) and use an X-acto blade to cut out a basic feather shape. Add random slices and notches along the edges for a more realistic look. Layer 1, 2 or 3 different sized feathers and cut a small slit near the top. Loop on a jump ring and attach to a fish hook earring!"

These were so bright and colorful that I had to share them. They would be so easy to make, too.

Weaving with Plastic Bags

Recycled Plastic-Bag Weaving tutorial from Weavezine.com

While I'm posting weaving tutorials, I thought this one looked very fun and interesting.

For other projects, such as crocheting with plastic bags, I've made the plarn (yarn made from plastic bags) and it's very easy to do. The instructions for making the plarn are included in this tutorial.

Hula Hoop Weaving

Hula Hoop Weaving courtesy of Family Fun magazine

Click the blue link above for the instructions.

I can't wait to try this one!!  After I saw this article in Family Fun magazine, I've been researching "wagon wheel" weaving and have some other sites to share.

I love rag rugs and different ways to make them, so this looked like a good way to get started with weaving. They can get more complicated after this.

Washer and Ribbon Necklace

Washer and Ribbon Necklace from Nestled

Click the blue link above for instructions.

This necklace looks so fun to make. It would be interesting to try different kinds of ribbon as well, such as velvet and lace, to see how it changes the look.
